As a Chamber member, you have access to promoting your business through our website and Facebook page.
Use the contact page on our website to submit promotions for the Chamber to share. We can put your events on our calendar and share things about your business with our Facebook page, which has over 2000 followers who are primarily local customers.
All you have to do to take advantage of this opportunity is provide the information to the Chamber.
Simply attending meetings and participating in Chamber functions creates the opportunity to meet many local business owners and professionals. We initiate more business-to-business commerce than is available through most other local organizations.
Volunteering your time with the Chamber lets you make new contacts and have the chance to promote both our community and your own business.
Chamber Gift Certificates
Only current Chamber members may redeem Wilmington Chamber of Commerce gift certificates.
When you accept a gift certificate, treat is as a cash transaction. Give change if needed, always redeem the certificate for the full face value.
Your business will be issued a check for the redeemed gift certificate, and there are never any redemption fees.
The Chamber gift certificate program keeps spending local. Some members redeem more in certificates than the cost of their annual dues.
Membership fees help sponsor the Route 66 Red Carpet Festival , part of Catfish Days, and a Christmas parade in an effort to attract customers to Wilmington and give members the opportunity to blend in their own promotion.
The Chamber awards a traveling Employee of the Month trophy. An accompanying photo is published in the Free Press Advocate.
Each year the Chamber provides a $1000 scholarship. The recipient is a Wilmington High School graduate chosen by our scholarship committee.
Our First Dollar program welcomes new businesses to town and includes free Chamber membership for the remainder of the current year. If you are opening a business in Wilmington, be sure to let us know.
We maintain a Wilmington phone number as a source of information for tourists, newcomers to town, and longtime residents. When they ask for a referral they are sent to member businesses first.
